My daughter and I both have very tight curly, frizzy hair. Your typical close bristled brush didn't work, it can't get past the surface. We usually use a wide tooth comb or a "wet" brush on wet hair. There was a lot of crying and sore scalps. They both detangled but did nothing for the frizzies. The "wet" brush had little balls on the end made of a separate material that would catch stray hairs between the bristle and the ball, very painful, especially if you're 4. The Bamboo brush smooth the hair as it detangles and each bristle is all one piece, no catching. The more I brush the smoother and shinier my hair gets. Also, there is less hair in the brush when I'm done. There's a lot less crying. It works well on dry or wet hair. Thank you for this brush!
